Michael Dwayne Vick is a former professional American football midfielder who played 13 seasons in the National Football League, primarily with the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football at Virginia Tech and was chosen by Falcons as his first choice in the NFL Draft in 2001. During his six years with Falcons, Vick was seen as a midfielder switcher with a quick dash. and named for four Pro Bowls. He was the first NFL midfielder to hit 1,000 yards in a single season and holds the record for the most number of yards in a midfield career. Vick's NFL career ended in 2007 after pleading guilty to a dog fighting ring and spent 21 months in federal prison. The subsequent arrest and conviction made Vick popular in public, extending the rest of his career. He was freed by the Falcons shortly before being released from prison.
