Ovinton J'Anthony Mayo is an American professional basketball player for the Leopards Flying Leopards team of the China Basketball Association. He played a single season of college basketball for the USC Trojans while also winning the All-Pac-10 first-team title. The team lost all wins this season and Mayo lost his status to join the National College Sports Association for the remaining three years after it was decided he had received inappropriate benefits. Mayo made the 2008 NBA Draft and was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with a third overall pick. He then transferred to the Memphis Grizzlies, the team he played for four seasons. In 2011, he tested positive for banned steroids and was suspended by the NBA for 10 games. Mayo signed with the Dallas Mavericks in 2012, then signed with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013. On July 1, 2016, Mayo was fired from the NBA for violating the tournament's anti-drug agenda.
